Eucharistic Ministers
The role of the Eucharistic Minister is to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ with a sense of reverence and warm hospitality. Twenty-nine (29) Eucharistic Ministers are needed every weekend in order to offer Communion to all of the gathered faithful. Easter Blessings to You,
The summer schedule has a few open spots due to vacations and other summer commitments. Please fill in whenever there is a need, but please don’t come up until the Lamb of God begins, to give those assigned a chance to come forward. Anyone attending a summer holy day or holiday Mass, please check in the sacristy to see if you are needed to minister.
New procedure to begin immediately: When the Eucharistic Ministers come to stand in the semicircle behind father, the ministers of the cup should stand next to each other on the ambo side and the ministers of the hosts should stand on the piano side. This will eliminate any confusion as to who receives the cup and who receives the bowl.
As summer approaches, please remember to dress appropriately. Your attire indicates the importance of what is taking place.
You will be seeing some new faces at the altar this summer. Some of our high school students have been trained and will be on the regular schedule. Please welcome them and answer any questions they may have.
May the spirit of the Risen Christ fill your hearts with love and hope and may your summer months be filled with many enjoyable moments.
